Delvy de Jesus Minaya, 26, and Yohaly Felipe Marte, 23, are raising their two children, Alonzo, 6, and Derlin, 3.

Before receiving their new home through Casas por Cristo, Delvy and her children were living with her mother. She has worked hard to care for her family, but without a permanent home or steady employment, providing the stability she wanted for her children was difficult. Delvy stays home to care for the children and sometimes sells lottery tickets to help provide for the household.

For Delvy, having a home of her own was a dream come true. She has always hoped to build a better future for her family and dreams of one day opening her own beauty salon.
