If you’re looking for a traditional Italian feast in a modern contemporary setting with plenty of seats, try Bravo!
"Bravo!" is typically called out after a magnificent stage performance. In the case of the upscale Bridge Street Town Centre restaurant, the performance is the creation of delicious food.
When I walked into Bravo! last Thursday, Misty Malinowski, Team Leader, gave me a friendly greeting and ushered me to my table.
Shortly after, General Manager Ken Tyrrell came over and gave me a bit of history of the restaurant. There are 115 Bravo Brio Restaurant Group restaurants in the U.S., and guess what Bridge Street has the only one in the state of Alabama.
“We serve traditional Italian cuisine: fresh pastas, fresh pizza, homemade sauces."
There’s so much to love about the tangy Chicken Parmesan (pomodoro, mozzarella, and herb linguine), but my favorite was the chicken with the funny name—Pasta Woozie with its grilled chicken, buttery fettuccine alfredo, and spinach—because I couldn’t survive life on a deserted island without fettuccine alfredo.
Ken says, "We have an open-air kitchen where people can see the Italian pizzas being made at the pizza bar. If you want to stand up, you can watch the line cooks. We still verbally call tickets as opposed to a computerized system. So, there's a lot of synergy in the restaurants."
Details like that make dinner at Bravo! a fun family-friendly event.
Bravo! serves lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Be sure to make reservations, especially for weekends, nights, and for large parties in the 50-seat private dining room. Including the two outdoor terraces, Bravo! can seat over 300 people in all, but Ken says they fill up fast.
