Does Altitude Trampoline Park take indoor play to a whole new level?

Hunstville and Madison County residents know that north Alabama is amazing place to raise a family. As the area continues to attract growing families, business owners are taking note and starting to provide more entertainment based business targeted at indoor family entertainment. One of the newest additions is the Altitude Trampoline Park in Huntsville. The park is located next to the Target on University Drive in Westside Centre and boasts it is the largest trampoline park in AL. They offer a calendar events with reserved times and special deals for toddlers, home schoolers, college students, and teens. The park also offers group events, fundraising events and birthday parties!

Is Altitude a great place to party?

As a working mom, every year around birthday time, I start looking for a way to have an affordable birthday party somewhere other than my house! My eight year old son, Dirk, was recently invited to and attended party at Altitude for a friend's 8th birthday. The kids at the party had a great time jumping on all the trampolines, climbing all the rock walls, and all the other attractions. Kid's really aren't too picky when it comes to birthday party locations. Let's be honest, all they care about is that their best buds are there and they have a place to play. With this being said, I will give you a mom's perspective on the Altitude Trampoline as a party venue and in general as an indoor play place.

Let's get ready to jump!

When we arrived, we could immediately see all the fun taking place! My son was ready to find his friends and start jumping! Of course, before you can play, you have to sign a waiver. To the right of the entrance are several stations where you can electronically fill in the waiver forms, it will then print a ticket for you to take to the counter and either check in or pay for your visit. The check in process was straight forward and quick. They even have online submission of waivers, so you can take care of this piece before you come! This isn't a bad idea, especially if you are attending a party where your child is eager to go play with their friends! Most of this is similar to other indoor play places.

One thing that makes Altitude different is that they require jumpers to wear their non-slip trampoline socks. These were included in the birthday party attendance, but can be purchased for $2 per pair at your first visit. You don't have to purchase a new pair every visit, and are encouraged to bring them back when you visit again. I really liked this requirement at Altitude, not only does it improve cleanliness, it also helps kids grip the trampolines and could reduce injuries due to slipping.

Let's Party!

After we got checked in, we headed to find his friend's party. We quickly found their group and all the kids disappeared! When they did finally come back to the tables, it was because they
needed to rehydrate or go to the bathroom. They all had a blast! While there are lots of indoor play places with party options available, Altitude has a few differences that really stood out to me. Many other locations, have play areas and party rooms that are in separate areas. The locations tend to break up the party into play time and party time. Altitude has two options for parties, private rooms and tables that are in the open area in front of the play area. I loved open table area. It was great for the parents to be able to watch the children play and be able to stay near the food, gifts, and party things. Private rooms are available at a slightly higher party rates. You might consider this if you were having an event where you wanted more privacy or quiet. I however loved the open tables and easy access to the play area.

Overall Altitude Trampoline Park is a great indoor play place that is great for parties or just a family fun day. Their prices for admission and parties are comparable to other venues, but I think they have some unique features that will make their park a place that many families will return to again and again. The Altitude Trampoline Park is open Monday through Thursday, 10AM-9PM; Friday, 10AM-11PM; Saturday, 9AM-11PM; and Sunday, 1pm-8PM. If you haven't already checked them out, you should definitely consider them for your next party or family outing.
