This is Artemio Soc Yup’s family. He and his wife, Maria Magdalena Cux Rac, have been married for 12 years and are raising their son, Oseas Sofonias Soc Cux, who is 11 years old. For a long time, they struggled with difficult living conditions, especially during the rainy season, when water would leak into their home. Artemio worked hard to build a better life for his family, but with a low income, it was very difficult to make progress on a house of their own.
Artemio does whatever work he can find to provide for his family. He folds newspapers regularly and also takes on other jobs such as cutting grass and planting corn. Over time, the family was able to buy land, but building a home remained out of reach. Even so, they kept praying and trusting God for provision. Now, receiving their new home has brought a major change to their lives. Maria Magdalena shared how thankful and overwhelmed they felt when they realized this blessing was really happening. One of the moments that stood out most was seeing Oseas so excited to finally have a room of his own. Their new home has brought joy, relief, and a stronger sense of hope for the future.
Prayer Request: Please pray for their whole family, that they would grow closer to God, and for Magdalena, who has been dealing with many health issues.
