Job description:
I assist buyer’s in purchasing in building and finding “move in ready” Woodland Homes.
I also have a rapidly growing general real estate business in which I assist my clients in selling existing homes, buyer’s representation, and purchasing investment property. I manage my own real estate investments and have recently taken on property management for several of my clients.
Best perk: 100% Commission, so I get to decide when I receive a raise.
Ambition: To be the top producing Real Estate Agent in Madison County.
Best advice received: Reading an hour a day in your chosen profession will double your income every 2 years. It’s amazing, but it works! I begin everyday by reading 1 hour in real estate, sales, marketing, & personal development. I’ve also purchased a library of approximately 400 CDs that I listen to while completing other tasks throughout the day.
Best advice to give: Pursue your passion. Find a career that you enjoy doing. This will make the reading in your chosen profession easier. It’s easy to become good at something that you enjoy doing.
It's a bad day when: It’s a bad day when I get stuck doing non-selling related work. I’m very focused on efficiency, and I am always working on offloading the 80% of activities that I can hire someone to do more efficiently than I can.
It's a good day when: A Good day is when I help someone achieve their real estate dreams – find their dream home, sale their existing home, find the perfect investment property, or finding a tenant for a client’s rental property.
Role model: I’ve tried to find a real estate mentor for the last 2 years. I have not been able to find one yet, so I was convicted that maybe I need to mentor someone. I have recently committed to mentoring a new real estate agent.
My extensive reading has created several “virtual” role models: Napolean Hill, John Palumbo, Myers Barnes, Tom Hopkins, Brian Tracy, Earl Nightingale, Robert Kiosoki, Gary Keller, & of course, the Bible to name a few.
Working on: I’m managing 2 of Woodland Homes premier communities in Madison – Walden Preserve and Foxfield. We’re very excited about the land position we have in the Madison area. We’re looking forward to a great year!
I’m also working on growing my general Real Estate business. As many of my fellow agents are leaving the industry, I’m vamping up marketing efforts to increase market share. I’m reading a lot of books right now on marketing to help me invest my marketing dollars wisely.
